Maria (Chan) Kon

As a spiritual director, Maria’s practice rests on trinitarian theology and adopts a contemplative evocative approach toward spiritual direction. Attending to God’s work in the directee’s life and how the directee is experiencing and responding to God’s love, Christ’s enablement and the Holy Spirit’s leading, invites attentive listening, leaning in and lingering with the triune God. As a supervisor, Maria provides encouragement, professional development and ministry care for spiritual directors through individual supervision. Maria co-leads the Spiritual Directors Learning Community where in her capacity as supervisor, encourages directors to integrate theory and practice through cohort work that in turn augments their own practice. Maria is married to her husband of 30 years and together, they have three young adult children. Born in England, Maria has a love of the countryside, the theatre and of course, high tea!
