About David Ooi
David works relationally and experientially in the here and now. With warmth and humour, he co-creates with his client a space that is both safe and challenging. He also works holistically, paying careful attention to the connection between mind, body and spirit. Previously, David was part of the counselling team at George Brown College’s Transition to Post-Secondary Education (TPE) program, working with mature students who are self-identified with addiction and mental health issues. Besides his psychotherapy practice, David has been a staff worker of a national campus ministry for many years, serving mainly Asian Canadian and international students. David is a Gestalt psychotherapist in training. He is a recent graduate of The Gestalt Institute in Toronto and a member of The Canadian Association of Psychodynamic Therapy (CAPT).
