Samuel is one of the Senior Pastors of Sanctus Church, a multi-site church in the Durham area. Samuel and his family immigrated to Toronto from the tiny island of Sri Lanka when he was five years old after escaping an ethnic civil war, where they narrowly escaped death. In his teenage years, Samuel experienced a call by God that ultimately led him into full-time ministry. He has been pastoring for 25 years, the first 10 in the US and the remaining in Canada.  Samuel has an MTS from Tyndale University and is graduating with a ThM from Wycliffe College at TST (Spring 24). He is passionate for people to experience the Spirit-empowered gospel that leads to life transformation. He enjoys growing, developing and empowering leaders through coaching, community and creativity. Samuel also serves on the boards of Chosen Children, a ministry to vulnerable children in Africa and Pickering Christian School.

Samuel and his wife Ann enjoy the privilege of raising their two kids- Micah and Leah. Samuel enjoys sports (a diehard Red Sox fan), technology (all things Apple), theology (learning more about God), music (discovering the latest hits) and travel (venturing around the globe with Ann and the kids).
