Bachelor of Arts (BA)
A comprehensive foundation in music studies
Program Overview
The BA in Music provides a comprehensive foundation in general music studies. Its flexible structure makes it an ideal choice for students looking to pursue a double major or add a minor in another field.
Learning from expert practitioners, Tyndale provides a supportive community where musicians can explore their gifting while refining their craft. Combining practical studio training with theoretical knowledge, students gain exposure to a wide range of musical traditions, styles, concepts and artistic expressions through both popular music and sacred music genres.
Performance Opportunities
Multiple opportunities are available to perform at external concerts and services as soloists and in ensemble settings, even partnering and performing with professional musicians throughout the Greater Toronto Area, as well as internal performance opportunities in multiple performance spaces throughout the campus. Students develop leadership skills through Tyndale’s Chapel Program as they lead weekly chapel worship in our breath-taking 56-foot high chapel space with a state-of-the-art sound system.
Admission into the Music Department will be granted after a successful audition and successful completion and assessment of your Tyndale University application.
