Biography

Yvonne was a principal in York Region District School Board for fourteen years. She has been a classroom teacher, Division Lead, and coach to newly-appointed principals and vice-principals. Yvonne was Seconded to the Ministry of Education as a Student Achievement Officer for three years where she worked with school leaders and curriculum leads in Eastern Ontario school boards to develop professional learning in math teaching. Yvonne is passionate about issues of equity, anti-racism, and anti-oppression, and has presented at conferences in these areas. Her research is in educational leadership and policies.
