February 1, 8, and 15, 2014, 9:00am–1:00pm
This course will introduce students to the fundamental doctrines of Christianity, and introduce them to the task of Christian theology as “faith seeking understanding.” In our first class we will discuss the nature and task of theology, and begin our survey of doctrines by examining the doctrines of the Trinity and Incarnation. In our second class we will discuss the doctrine of salvation, covering the topics of sin, regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification. Finally, our last class will be focused on mission, and will cover the doctrine of the church and sacraments/ordinances, Christian ministry, mission in the world, and the last things.
