Tyndale Remembers

Tyndale Class of 2013

The Tyndale community of students, faculty and staff paused on Monday , November 11th to honour the sacrifices of those who have given their lives in service to their country and to peace. Under grey November skies the school community gathered to remember alumni and present students who have committed their lives to serve Christ in the Canadian Armed Service.

At Tyndale we seek to engage our culture with the Gospel and in pausing to remember, we give thanks for Canada and for those who have served for the cause of peace. Through it all we lift high the name of Jesus - the Prince of Peace.

There were prayers, and a recitation of the poem by John McCrae “In Flanders Field”. Dr. Gary Nelson and Mrs. Beverley Patterson placed a wreath beneath the Canadian flag.

We extend our gratitude to Peter Vere, Monique Roumy, Nathan Brubaker and Laura Coxworth, members of the Canadian Armed Forces who led the Tyndale community in commemorating Remembrance Day.

We cherish the freedom that we have in Canada and pray for Christ's peace throughout our world.
