In order to minister effectively to adolescents, an understanding of their context is essential. Designed to enhance the student’s understanding of youth culture in the multicultural, multi-ethnic and multifaceted Canadian context. Key to understanding Canadian youth culture is the evaluation of the kind of life created for Canadian teens and the life they create for themselves. Students have an opportunity to explore the elements of Canadian culture that shape today’s social structures and the youth culture within the Christian framework. Prerequisites: BSTH 101, 102. Same as SOCI 301.
