French as a Second Language I

Provides Teacher Candidates with an introduction to the teaching of French as a Second Language in Ontario schools. The principles and practices of teaching FSL will apply to core, enriched, and immersion French classes. The course will introduce Teacher Candidates to the theory and practice of excellent teaching and learning strategies, as well as a variety of assessment and evaluation tools. Prerequisites: demonstration of proficiency based on the French Language Competency test and a minimum of 12 university credits in French.
