Interlibrary Loans at Tyndale

The Tyndale library provides its users with access to items held at other library institutions across North America.

The library will try to borrow or request photocopies of articles that are not held at the Tyndale libraries.  There is a $10 charge for items not picked up. If there are charges we will contact you. Borrowers are responsible for paying replacement costs for lost, damaged or late items.

Policies for Students

The normal cost for students is $5 per book and $2 per article. No fees are charged for items requested that are owned by the library and shelved in inaccessible offsite storage.

Students may request up to five items per week

Policies for Members

Patrons with paid memberships may receive up to four ILL items a year per individual. Each loan and/or photocopy costs $10.00 per item as well as any other fees charged by the lending library. All fees must be paid when the item is picked up.

Policies for Faculty and Instructors

The library usually tries to supply items to faculty and instructors without charge.

Arranging the ILL

There are two options. You may locate the item in WorldCat and place a request there, or fill out the online interlibrary loan request form. Users may also speak to the Public Services Librarian.
