Below is a list of databases. Some databases are only available on terminals connected to the Tyndale computer network, including the Computer Lab. Remote access to the electronic databases provided by these services is available (remote access help). All links open into a new window.

This multi-disciplinary database provides full text for nearly 4,500 journals, including full text for more than 3,600 peer-reviewed titles and. PDF backfiles to 1975 or further are available for well over one hundred journals, and searchable cited references are provided for 1,000 titles.
ArticleFirst includes items listed in the table of contents pages of over 16,000 journals. While there is no indexing by subject, this database lists new articles more quickly than most other databases. If Tyndale has access to the full text, a link will appear. Note that recent articles may be listed before full text is available. Use this database for current awareness.
ATLA Religion Database with ATLASerials is the premier index to journal articles, book reviews, and collections of essays in all fields of religion.
This is a special edition of the ATLA Religion Database for Tyndale alumni only. It includes access to many full text articles. The ATLAS for ALUM program is supported by a generous grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. and Tyndale University College & Seminary. Covers Canadian information in the field of education with over 400 journals, going back to the 1970s.
Provides access to English language articles and reviews written from an evangelical Christian perspective from 1957 to present. The J. William Horsey Library maintains back files of most of the titles listed in this database. Check the catalogue for local holdings.
DOAJ - the Directory of Open Access Journals covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals. The directory contains 7757 journals covering all subjects and languages (of these, 3774 journals are searchable at the article level).

JSTOR contains an archive of over 600 academic journals in the arts and sciences right back to the beginning of each title. You cannot search for articles by subject but there are other excellent search mechanisms including author, title and full text article searches.

MLA International Bibliography is a bibliography of journal articles, books and dissertations. Produced by the Modern Language Association, the electronic version of the Bibliography dates back to 1963 and contains over 1.7 million citations from more than 4,400 journals and series and 1,000 book publishers.
New Testament Abstracts Online contains article abstracts, review abstracts, book abstracts, and software abstracts.

Religious and Theological Abstracts includes abstracts from over 360 journals. There are no subject headings in this database, but words in the abstracts may be searched and combined with other terms. There is access also by Bible citation. There are no direct links to full text articles.
Sage Journals Online covers over 500 full text peer reviewed Journals in all subject areas. Full text access goes back to 1999 for most titles.
