An introduction to Canadian literature emphasizing writers of the twentieth and twentyfirst centuries. Texts are chosen from works in both English and French (in translation) that show the movement from modern to post-modern, postcolonial and post-national literature. Included in the course is a field trip to the Canadian Art collection in the Art Gallery of Ontario. Prerequisite: 6 credit hours in ENGL. Exclusions: ENGL 385, 386.
