This module will explore the diverse ways in which men and women express grief and adapt to loss. We will examine mourning practices across various cultures and consider a range of strategies for navigating grief. The aim is to deepen the sensitivity and understanding we bring to the experience of death and to the care of those who mourn.

This Module will examine the concept of time relating to persons with disabilities. How should non-disabled persons share time with disabled persons? How are disabled persons affected by conventional understandings of time? While referring to biblical sources, students will develop a disability theology that fosters proximity and understanding.

“A Day in the Life” is a unique on-campus experience designed to give prospective students an authentic look at what it means to be a student at Tyndale University. Prospective undergraduate students will be paired with current students who will serve as hosts for the day.

In this module, students will spend the day reflecting on their identity as the beloved children of God. Participants will spend time learning about the three lies of identity and how Nouwen’s understanding of Life of the Beloved can help center their understanding of who they are.

Children and teens grieve differently from adults, and their responses shift as they grow and age. Play, silence, or acting out can be easily misunderstood, leaving caregivers unsure how to help.

This program is designed for Canadian Christian leaders, aiming to equip white and racialized leaders with the skills and insights necessary to navigate and lead effectively in diverse and intercultural contexts. Targeted at those facing challenges from a survival mentality to monocultural constraints and the risk of disengagement among second-generation members, this module seeks to elevate intercultural humility and competencies and offer insights into the unique Canadian context.

This course invites learners to explore intercultural learning as an ongoing journey shaped by their experiences, self-reflection, and established relationships. Through personal storytelling and guided activities, participants will examine how they have learned to do something new in their own lives and use that process as a lens for understanding intercultural growth.

Spiritual formation is an ongoing journey of drawing closer to God and being shaped into the image of Christ. This program invites participants into a holistic process of transformation, weaving together prayer, self-awareness, and intentional spiritual practices that nurture Christlikeness.

“Navigating the Holidays” is a compassionate workshop designed to support those who may find the holiday season difficult after a loss, especially at Christmas and during its many family traditions.
