Samuel Mills

Samuel Mills

Samuel is one of the Senior Pastors of Sanctus Church, a multi-site church in the Durham, Ontario area. Samuel and his family immigrated to Toronto from the tiny island of Sri Lanka when he was five years old after escaping an ethnic civil war, where they narrowly escaped death. In his teenage years, Samuel experienced a call by God that ultimately led him into full-time ministry. He has been pastoring for 25 years, the first 10 in the US and the remaining in Canada.  Samuel has two master's degrees, an MTS from Tyndale University and a ThM from Wycliffe College at the University of Toronto. He is pursuing his Doctor of Ministry in Adaptive Leadership from Fuller Seminary. Samuel is passionate about people experiencing the Spirit-empowered gospel that leads to life transformation. He enjoys growing, developing and empowering leaders through coaching, community and creativity. Samuel serves on the boards of Chosen Children (a ministry to vulnerable children in Mozambique) and Pickering Christian School. He is also a certified facilitator with Prepare and Enrich, which helps couples in their marriages and with the Working Genius, which enhances work environments and team dynamics.

Samuel and his wife, Ann, enjoy the privilege of raising their two kids. Samuel enjoys sports (a diehard Red Sox fan), technology (all things Apple), theology (learning more about God), music (discovering the latest hits) and travel (venturing around the globe with Ann and the kids).
