Biography

Amy began teaching with Peel District School Board and transitioned to Upper Grand District School Board when she and her family moved to Orangeville, ON. Amy has spent the last 8 years teaching in an elementary Special Education classroom made up of students with a variety of exceptionalities. What began as a tentative placement for her has led to a passionate love of teaching students with special abilities, strengths and needs. Amy believes that every student can learn when placed in a caring, nurturing and inclusive environment, surrounded by knowledgeable and supportive teachers and staff.
