Biography

Nikki is a Métis Forest-School educator, environmental advocate, and award-winning songwriter and artist. Her teaching focuses on innovative, developmentally appropriate approaches to environmental education, arts integration, and the holistic formation of both teachers and students through place-based, inquiry-driven pedagogy. 

She developed the Environmental Education course at Tyndale University and continues to lead the integration of place-based, inquiry learning strategies across curricula for both pre-service and in-service teachers. Her work seeks to connect all learners with the Land, their Creator, and their unique creative voice to support educator and community well-being, ecological flourishing, and the transformation of educational practice.
