Module Information

This module will explore various issues at the end of life including ethical decisions that need to be made, the necessity of a living will, how to say 'goodbye', sing 'vigil', learning the signs that the body is shutting down and rituals and beliefs that make a difference. You will learn how to walk alongside both the individual who is dying and the family as they deal with death and loss.

Dr. Rob Patterson

Facilitator

Rob is the Lead pastor at Scott Street MB church, in St. Catharines, ON. He has enjoyed teaching at Tyndale, McMaster University, Acadia University, and Carey Theological school in Vancouver. Previously he served in Kenya, East Africa as a lecturer with Carey Theological College and Regent College. During his years as a chaplain at Spring Hills Penitentiary he began his focus in the areas of loss, grief and death. He is fluent in Swahili having immersed himself into the African culture. He has a passion for teaching and equipping those who support others through their journey of grief.
