“Aren’t you over this yet?” “She’s in a better place!” “You just need to move on.” These are just some of the things you might hear as you grieve the loss of your loved one. While people generally mean well, they often don’t realize how their words can wound us or downplay our loss. Sometimes we wonder, “Does anyone understand what I’m going through?”
The Tyndale Centre for Grief and Loss invites you to join our eight-week grief support group as we listen to your story and acknowledge the pain of your loss, whether it occurred recently or many years ago. Our support groups are led by warm and compassionate facilitators who are ready to walk alongside you through your grief. It is a confidential, safe space where you can share your experience on the journey of healing from your loss. Being in a group setting reminds you that “you are not alone” and that there are people who understand what you are going through, as well as helpful tools to process your grief. We walk this journey together.
