Biography

Maryteresa Nocera has been an educator for over thirty years, teaching in both Montreal and Toronto. She worked as a classroom educator before transitioning to the central role of Early Years Lead, where she was instrumental in implementing Full Day Kindergarten across the TCDSB. Maryteresa then spent six years in a unique Interdisciplinary Special Services team which saw her supporting educators, children, and families with the creation/implementation of individual education plans, differentiated instruction, and supporting universal design for learning. She was also a sessional instructor for twelve years teaching additional qualification (AQ) courses and writing/creating AQ courses for York University.
