Biography

Virna has 31 years of experience with the Toronto Catholic District School Board. She worked with students and teacher colleagues in both the elementary and secondary settings in her roles as classroom teacher, special education teacher, Autism Support Teacher and Assessment and Programming Teacher. She was instrumental in designing and developing the curriculum for an intensive support program for students with Autism. In collaboration with Special Services Coordinators, she completed the TCDSB submissions to the Ministry of Education to ensure funding support for students with special needs.
