This course equips Canadian Christian leaders to develop intercultural competencies through a biblical and theological lens, grounding missional leadership in the practice of discerning God’s work across cultural difference. Through six modules, participants will explore key frameworks such as missio Dei, learn practices for “holding space” for others, and develop tools for learning across difference through reflection and dialogue. Participants will examine how Scripture is read from the margins, engaging minoritized Canadian perspectives that challenge dominant interpretive habits. They will also reflect theologically on Canadian multiculturalism and engage Indigenous theological voices that call for repentance, decolonial awareness, and reconciliation. Case studies on urban poverty and Muslim-Christian relations will connect theology with public life, emphasizing faithful witness through shared practices, justice-seeking, and Spirit-led discernment.
