“Navigating the Holidays” is a compassionate workshop designed to support those who may find the holiday season difficult after a loss, especially at Christmas and during its many family traditions. Together, we explore why these days can intensify grief well before Christmas Day arrives and offer gentle, practical strategies for moving through this time of year with patience, care, and self-kindness. The workshop provides space to honour your loved one(s), acknowledge the roller-coaster of emotions that arise during the holidays, and seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance, comfort, and grounding during this season. Participants will also learn to set personal boundaries, create contingency plans, communicate with others before gatherings, and, when the time is right, reflect on how to create rituals of remembrance. Whether this is your first holiday after a loss or you’ve navigated this challenging time before, you are warmly invited to join us.
Presented by Lois Letcher, Coordinator of the Tyndale Centre for Grief and Loss.
