Biography

Born and raised in West Wales, Dr. Trew has been living and working in Canada for several years. His research encompasses systematic and historical theology, with a particular focus on how the church has thought about human personhood and death. Dr. Trew’s forthcoming monograph Mortality, Ontology, and Ethics in Twentieth Century Theologies of Person: The Rule of Death is published with T&T Clark, and his other written work has appeared in Journal of Reformed Theology, Reviews in Religion and Theology, Journal of Biblical and Theological Studies, and CRUX. He is a passionate teacher who loves engaging with students and their questions. 

Outside the classroom, Dr. Trew likes running, hiking, and painting sci-fi miniatures.
