Tyndale offers programs designed to encourage sponsorships from your church.

Leadership Scholarship (Tyndale's Church Match Program)

The Leadership Scholarship is a church gift matching program in which Tyndale will match, dollar-for-dollar, church sponsorships towards a student’s education to a maximum of $100 per course. For a full-time undergraduate student taking ten courses per year, this could equal up to $2,000 in aid.

Matching Limit for Undergraduate Studies: Up to $100 per course ($1000 annual limit)

Leadership Scholarship application can be completed on the Tyndale Awards website.

2025-2026 Academic Year

  • Fall: October 31, 2025
  • Winter: February 27, 2026
  • Spring/Summer: July 31, 2026

2026-2027 Academic Year

  • Fall: October 30, 2026
  • Winter: February 26, 2027
  • Spring/Summer: July 30, 2027

Details

  • The Leadership Scholarship is a matching church gift program that all Tyndale students are eligible for.
  • Tyndale will match, dollar-for-dollar, church gifts towards a student's education (course and annual limits apply).
  • Tyndale's matching gift will be applied to the current and future semesters of this academic year running from September 2025 to August 2026. No backdating to previous semesters or academic years.
  • Unawarded Leadership Scholarship amounts cannot be carried forward to a future academic year.
  • The Leadership Scholarship (Tyndale's matching gift) will be credited to the recipient's student account each semester (through the Student Financial Services Office).
  • Church payment can be submitted by cheque or online payment (see payment details).
  • Both payment and Leadership Scholarship application must be submitted in order for the student to receive Tyndale's matching portion.
  • Leadership Scholarship application can be found on the Tyndale Awards website (apply.tyndale.ca)
  • When completing the Leadership Scholarship application, the student will be asked to submit contact details of the pastor or church leader authorizing the participation in this program. The pastor or church official will then be emailed a form to complete to authorize participation in the program.
  • Only one application is required per church. Multiple payments from the same church do not require separate applications.
