Biography

Grace Hye Ri Shin is a Korean-Canadian pianist based in Toronto, Canada. She has received numerous awards and scholarships throughout her career including first place at the Canadian Music Competition, Orford Summer Music Academy Scholarship and the Mary-Margaret Webb Piano Performance Award (U of T) and the President’s Scholarship of Merit (Tyndale University).

She performed as a soloist in Canada, Italy and South Korea and appeared as a featured soloist with the Korean Canadian Symphony Orchestra at the age of 16. During her studies at the University of Toronto, she participated as a fellow in the Toronto Summer Music Festival under the Brayton Polka Fellowship and had the privilege of performing alongside world-renowned artists including Jonathan Crow, Camden Shaw and Charles-Richard Hamelin.
