Biography

Karen Stiller is an award-winning writer, journalist, editor, and author with over two decades of experience in faith-based communications. She is author of several books, including Holiness Here (NavPress 2024), The Minister’s Wife (Tyndale House, 2020) and co-author of Craft, Cost & Call: How to Build a Life as a Christian Writer which reflect her passion for helping writers find their voice. Karen is a writing coach who works with a small group of writers each year to help them go deeper in their craft and move further along the path to publication. Students in Tyndale’s Media Arts program will benefit from Karen’s real-world insights into writing with beauty and meaning, honing a writing process built on creativity and revision, and communicating with clarity and impact across all writing formats in today’s media-rich marketplace. As a former senior editor of Faith Today magazine and founder and host of its podcast, Karen has interviewed leading thinkers and storytellers, helping to shape Canada's Christian conversation. Her writing has appeared in many magazines, including Reader's Digest, The Walrus, Ekstasis, and Christianity Today. Karen holds an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from the University of King's College and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in the Sacred Art of Writing. She brings to Tyndale's Media Arts program a deep understanding of narrative craft, impactful storytelling, and the power of words to inspire and transform.
