Biography

Renée Rowe is a versatile vocalist, performer, and educator whose career spans the worlds of jazz, soul, gospel, and musical theatre. Known for her powerful, soul-infused vocal style, she has become a mainstay in the Ontario music scene, performing at prestigious venues such as the Soulpepper Theatre and various international jazz festivals.

Throughout her professional journey, Renée has shared the stage with legendary artists including Pharrell Williams, Lalah Hathaway, and Jully Black. Her extensive work in gospel music includes a long-standing collaboration with the Toronto Mass Choir, most recently featured on their Hymns Alive project. Her theatrical credits are equally distinguished, notably starring as Asaka in Once on this Island and performing in Pieces of a Black Woman’s Soul.
