Overview
Each person who intends to carry out research involving human participants or any person intending to pursue research involving the Tyndale community must complete an application.
Before undertaking any research with human subjects, the researcher must be thoroughly familiar with the principles of research ethics:
- Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans – TCPS 2 (2022)
- Tyndale University Research Ethics Policy
No research involving human subjects shall commence prior to receiving approval from the Research Ethics Board.

REB Application for Ethics Review
Tyndale Faculty, Students, and Staff can access the form online in the Research Ethics Board “Application for Ethical Review” section. Ensure that all required documents are uploaded with your application. A complete list of necessary documents can be found in Section H of the REB Application Form. Please note that the REB will not review incomplete submissions.
