About Janey Yum
Janey brings a calm, grounded presence to her work and draws on an integrative approach that incorporates narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and emotion-focused therapy (EFT). She seeks to understand each person’s unique story and offers support as clients navigate life’s challenges, deepen their self-understanding, and move toward meaningful change.
With gentle curiosity, openness, and compassion, Janey strives to create a welcoming space characterized by safety and respect, where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. She works with people navigating anxiety, family issues, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, shame and guilt, relationship and parenting challenges and personal growth.
Janey also values working with clergy and others who provide spiritual care, recognizing the unique demands of their roles and the importance of having an opportunity for their own care, reflection, and growth.
Janey is available to work with individuals and couples.
Janey is married and has three young-adult and teenage sons. She finds joy in reading and baking, and treasures time spent laughing with friends and family over meals and game nights.
