Along with building out these areas, we will also need to manage the following projects:

↔ TyndaleSeminary.ca Redirects 100% ✅

Currently tyndaleseminary.ca goes to the current tyndale.ca and is then redirected to tyndale.ca/seminary/[path]. For example if someone visited tyndaleseminary.ca/programs the system would redirect the visitor to tyndale.ca/seminary/programs. We still need this functionality, but we want to remove the complexity from the main Tyndale website and have it run on a separate server. This needs to be built.

↔ Server Redirects www ↔ www2 100% ✅

When someone visits our website and is looking for a URL that resides on the www (older/Drupal 7) website, the person will need to be redirected to that location. The same would be true when someone is on the www2 website and clicks on an internal link that now resides on the www (new/Drupal 10) website, we will need to redirect them there. This will need to be maintained as we build new areas after Phase 1 to ensure the redirects are up to date and working.

🔍 Integrated Site Search 100% ✅

The integrated Drupal search will build it’s search index from the content currently on the website. This would mean that there would be two individual search indexes — one for 222 and one for www2 — we need to find a way to index the content outside of the internal search tools and have the search always resolve on the www website.

This has been deployed on the current website as of 2024–09–24

↑ Updating Drupal version 9 ↑ 10.3 100% ✅

We are currently building out the new site on Drupal version ^9.5.11 ← this is no longer supported and we need to upgrade this to version ^10.3.x>. There are a few things we need to do to prepare for this and it will take some focused effort.

📅 Event Synchronization 100% ✅

There will be a lot of “lists of events” that will remain on the www2 (older/Drupal 7) website. All of the events will only be added to the www (new/Drupal 10) website. We need to be able to synchronize the basic content from each event and have it added to the www2 website so that automated lists can be created. Event details will always resolve on the www website.
