The Tyndale Community Mourns the Loss of Dr. Bradley Noel

The Tyndale University community is shaken and deeply saddened by the news that Dr. Bradley Noel, Associate Professor of Christian Ministries, was killed in a motorcycle accident this past Saturday night in Newfoundland.

An abundance of tributes are being expressed online by current and former students and colleagues. Dr. Noel was more than a scholarly professor, he was a mentor and leader. Gifted at creating safe spaces, Dr. Noel was known for his ability to help students express differing opinions and theological viewpoints respectfully, while challenging them to expand their understanding. Students sought him out and ‘Doc Noel’ made them feel seen and heard. One former student posted to Facebook, “It was clear he cared more about loving you as an individual than just fulfilling his duties as a teacher. He had a special heart.”

Together we thank the Lord for Dr. Noel, for his faithful service and all he has contributed to Tyndale in so many ways. We pray God’s grace for Dr. Noel’s wife, Melinda, in this sudden loss, and for all who know and love them. Please pray also for Tyndale students, faculty and staff during this time of sorrow.
