Mission Statement
Operation Christmas Child (OCC) is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international Christian relief and development organization led by Franklin Graham. OCC collects gift-filled shoeboxes and delivers them in the name of Jesus Christ to children living in desperate situations around the world.
The mission of OCC is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to hurting children around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Opportunity Description
Year-Round Connect Volunteers serve across the country in 6 different roles that include Area Coordinator, Logistics, Church Relations, Community Relations, Prayer, and Media Relations. These individuals serve on teams and are the face of Operation Christmas Child in their communities. They promote and implement the project and share the joy and impact shoebox gifts have on children around the world.
