The Tyndale University community expresses sincere condolences to the Tobias family on the passing of Rick Tobias on May 18, 2022, in Toronto.
Rick's tireless dedication to the youth and other individuals in need at the Yonge Street Mission inspired those around him. His ministry, influence and advocacy went far beyond the streets of the city. For 25 years, Rick taught at Tyndale and has been our longest serving adjunct faculty member!
Rick's love for God and his passion for communities in need encouraged many staff and faculty members who encountered him, as well as the students who were blessed to attend his classes.
We mourn with the Tobias family through this difficult time and are truly grateful that Rick shared his wisdom and his heart for Christ through his life and ministry.
