The Presidential Search Committee continues to make encouraging progress in the search for Tyndale University’s next President and Vice-Chancellor.
During the summer, the search firm hired by the committee (Nelson Kraft) identified a good number of credible candidates. Following an extensive process of consultation, candidate review and initial interviews, the Committee has now moved into the final stages of discernment. A small number of highly qualified candidates have participated in more in-depth interviews, allowing the committee to explore candidate leadership experience, commitment to Christian higher education, understanding of Tyndale’s mission, and vision for the University’s future.
We are grateful for the prayer, interest and thoughtful input of the Tyndale community throughout this process. The Committee is approaching this responsibility with great care, recognizing the significance of selecting the person who will provide leadership to Tyndale in the years ahead.
The next steps will include further evaluation, reference checking and continued prayerful discernment before a recommendation is brought forward to the Board of Governors, likely in late October or early November.
We ask students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors and friends of Tyndale to continue praying for wisdom, unity and God’s clear direction as the search moves toward its conclusion.
G. Ross Clark,
Chair, Board of Governors
