Tyndale alumni from the London College of Bible and Mission (LCBM) recently gathered to celebrate their 14th bi-annual reunion. It was the final bi-annual reunion to be organized and held in London by this outstanding group of people, who are an important part of our legacy.
A pivotal part of Tyndale’s history, the London Bible Institute, later renamed LCBM, was established in 1935 to equip men and women for ministry. In a strategic move in 1968, LCBM merged with Toronto Bible College to form Ontario Bible College.
The gathering of over 160 focused on the theme “Finishing Strong” at Westview Baptist Church in south London on May 18 and 19, 2018. It was a nostalgic time of reconnecting and reflecting on the amazing stories of the impact that graduates of LCBM have made in our world today.
These same graduates from LCBM continue to invest in tomorrow’s leaders as they contribute to the endowment of the Jean C. Scott Award, named after Jean C. Scott (TBC 1936), who served as Secretary, Registrar, and Instructor in English until her death in early 1957 at the age of 48. This award is annually bestowed upon the top graduating University College student who demonstrates excellence in General Arts as he or she embarks on a journey to make an impact for the Kingdom.
