Early Childhood Education

Department of Health and Human Services

Does spending time with young children leave you feeling energized? Are you passionate about shaping the future generation? The intricate and stimulating process that children go through as they grow physically and mentally is something that captures your imagination. Tyndale’s Bachelor of Arts in Human Services – Early Childhood Education will prepare you to make a difference in the lives of children for a brighter future.

Partnership with Seneca College

Earn both a college diploma and a university degree in just four years of full-time study through Tyndale’s partnership with Seneca College. Students study at Tyndale for the first two years and then complete a 10-month program at Seneca before returning to Tyndale for their final year. You will graduate with a solid understanding of cognitive development, social and emotional development theories, and the physical development of children from birth to six years of age.

Become Licensed Early Childhood Education (ECE) Candidates

Learn from supportive faculty who know you by name and will invest in you personally. They will mentor you as you complete your internship, where you will gain practical experience in a childcare centre setting. Through the Seneca ECE Accelerated Diploma component of the program, students may be eligible to become licensed ECE candidates regulated by the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) subject to the independent criteria of the CECE regulatory body.
