Tyndale is once again an official charity for the Toronto Waterfront 5K, Half-Marathon and Marathon in October. For the past 13 years we have raised over $98,000 towards student financial aid.

Mental Health Training for Pastors & Ministry Leaders

A 2-day training covering a wide range of topics for pastors and ministry leaders who work with individuals with mental health concerns. Topics include Mental Health and Mental Illness, Self-Care, Understanding Psychotherapy, Barriers to Psychotherapy, Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy, and Collaborating with Tyndale Wellness Centre.

This Module will explore the history of the notion of disability. You will learn how to think about what it means to have a body and to be human. You will also reflect on the importance of caring for individuals with disabilities and what it means to cultivate hospitality and friendship.

Disability and Time: Enabling Theology (Module 2 of 6)

This Module will examine the concept of time relating to persons with disabilities. How should non-disabled persons share time with disabled persons? How are disabled persons affected by conventional understandings of time? While referring to biblical sources, students will develop a disability theology that fosters proximity and understanding.

In this module, students will spend the day reflecting on their identity as the beloved children of God. Participants will spend time learning about the three lies of identity and how Nouwen’s understanding of Life of the Beloved can help center their understanding of who they are.
