Tyndale Horsey Express Info

Introducing the J. William Horsey Library Express! With much of our book collection still being held in storage rooms behind the library, we've adopted a temporary system to help you retrieve the books that you need.

IMPORTANT: In order to be eligible for retrieval, the catalogue record must be listed as "available" as pictured in the screenshot below. Items that are listed as being in the offsite location are currently unavailable –  but may be requested from another library by clicking the blue “Request Item through Interlibrary Loan” button.

Items that require the Horsey Express

Please fill out the Tyndale Horsey Express form and we will retrieve the following items for you:

  • Items with call numbers  BT – BV, BX 1-3999, C, E – M, P – PQ, PS – PZ, Q, and S – Z  that are listed as "available".
  • All kits, periodicals, and pamphlets that are listed as "available".

Self Serve Items

Items that you can retrieve yourself from the library stacks are:

  • Items with the call number BS, BX 4000-9999, D, N, PR, or R-RZ that ahave the status "available".
  • All DVDs and CDs

Picking up requested items

Retrieved items will be available for pickup from the Horsey Express Shelf (near the circulation desk) one hour after we receive your request.

If the item is already checked out, we'll contact you and place you in the hold queue, notifying you by email when the item is ready. You may place requests up to 30 minutes before closing time. Requests made after this time will be available for pickup one hour after opening on the following business day. See J. William Horsey Library Hours to better plan your visit!
