Online Access to the Tyndale Library

The Tyndale Library Catalogue (WorldCat) and library subject guides, are publicly available for consultation at anytime. Access to proprietary databases is available only to current students and employees.

Please note that to access most of our databases and electronic books and journals  Tyndale uses a service called OpenAthens. In most cases, Tyndale students and employees who have already signed in to https://one.tyndale.ca/  will in most cases be directly logged in to most electronic resources. Those who get an Ebsco login screen should not login at the top of the screen but should scroll down and click on the OpenAthens option below.  If not connected directly, choose Tyndale University from the list of institutions. Tyndale students and employees are the only users eligible to access these resources due to licensing restrictions.

To see which resources are available for free and/or which resources require users to sign in, please visit the E-Resources page for an alphabetical listing of all electronic resources available through the library website. If you see “Authentication Required for Access” you must sign in using your MyTyndale username and password. If you see “Open Access” it means that anyone may access this resource for free, regardless if his or her status with the Tyndale community.

Tyndale Alumni

Tyndale alumni are reminded that while their MyTyndale usernames and passwords gain them access to MyTyndale webmail and web files, their accounts will not grant them access to online Tyndale Library resources. At this time, our license agreements only permit the use of electronic resources on the part of Tyndale students and employees. Tyndale graduating alumni get free borrowing for the first year after graduation which covers lending of physical materials. Thereafter they may continue to borrow at the discounted alumni rate. This is currently $50 annually. While this does not include remote access to electronic resources , alumni may request access to the one exception which is the ATLAS for Alum Database. qualifying alumni may contact the alumni office for the password by emailing alumni [at] tyndale [dot] ca .
