Christian Ministry and Practical Theology
Christian Ministry and Practical Theology
Build a strong foundation for ministry
Program Overview
The BA in Christian Ministry and Practical Theology invites you into a focused journey of scriptural study, theological reflection, and hands-on ministry formation. You’ll build a strong foundation through courses in Biblical studies, theology, and ministry−learning to apply biblical principles in real contexts while developing critical thinking and analytical skills through the broader liberal arts core.
Along the way, you’ll strengthen your written and verbal communication through preaching, teaching, and engaging in thoughtful theological dialogue. Courses in Preaching, Evangelism, and Financial Management in Nonprofit Organizations equip you with practical leadership tools, while electives like Developmental Psychology deepen your understanding of people and pastoral care.
Ministry Internship
Your learning culminates in a Ministry Internship where you integrate classroom insight with real ministry experience. By graduation, you’ll be prepared to serve with integrity, communicate effectively, and contribute meaningfully to ministry oriented, theological conversations in a variety of professional settings.
Christian Ministry and Practical Theology is also available through a Degree Completion Program (DCP). The DCP is a non-traditional option designed for adults who wish to complete a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree but are unable to attend traditional semester-based programs. This program is delivered fully online. Learn more about the Degree Completion Program →
