Sophie Persaud
Sophie is in her second year of Clinical Counselling (MA) at Tyndale. She has lived in a variety of places, including Seoul, Ottawa, Vancouver, Montreal and now Toronto. After completing her BA in Psychology at McGill University, Sophie has been pursuing her passion for seeing others experience wholeness and healing through diverse contexts, including her involvement with Ambrose House (a ministry for university students in Montreal), her work as a behavioural therapist in Seoul and her five years serving as part of the senior leadership team at a summer camp near Ottawa. Most recently, she has been serving as a Residence Advisor for Tyndale's residence.
Sophie enjoys working in dynamic, multi-cultural environments and has held a long-standing interest in social entrepreneurship. In the future, she hopes to continue participating in ministry while developing ways to provide therapeutic and consulting services to camps. Although she has moved frequently, some of her favourite places remain Burnaby Mountain and the Ottawa Valley, where she spent most of her summers growing up.
